Jared Lapidus is a director and writer whose affection for filmmaking began as a childhood obsession with his father’s laserdisc collection. As a graduate of NYU’s Tisch School of the Arts, Jared credits his sharp comedic sensibilities to his years spent as an editor, where he honed his instincts for timing, rhythm, and pacing. His work first gained public attention via his sketch comedy group, Reverse Cowboys, where he parlayed their string of viral hits into television directorial work, along with dozens of commercial campaigns for brands such as TurboTax, Little Caesars, OREO, Verizon, Pepsi, Triscuit, Quilted Northern, and many others. Jared has worked with Martin Short and Kevin Kline on Lorne Michaels' Maya & Marty, directed Netflix's 6-time Emmy nominated series, The Who Was Show, along with What's Cooking Tonight? - a Netflix special starring the inimitable Michelle Obama, Jennifer Garner, & Jack Black. He recently directed comedian Matteo Lane's debut standup special for Hulu, and made his feature film directorial debut with Office Race, a Paramount+ original film which he also co-wrote, starring Beck Bennett, Joel McHale, J.B. Smoove, Alyson Hannigan, and Kelsey Grammer.
