Justin’s passion for filmmaking ignited at a young age when his parents gave him an old 8mm camera. He began creating small claymation films, and it’s that same child-like enthusiasm for making films that drives his work today.
He got his first directing break in music videos (after shooting several short films) and went on to shoot clips for internationally established acts such as Take That and Ministry of Sound – creating visually inventive and heavily rotated clips.
Justin transitioned to commercial work after shooting a test ad that was featured in Shots' new directors showcase. Since then, he has worked globally with an impressive roster of clients, including Apple, VW, Colgate, Schweppes, Nescafé, Nespresso among others.
Known for his expertise in blending live-action with visual effects, Justin frequently explores the creation of alternate realities, imaginative worlds and scripts with a heightened sense of reality and a playful sense of humour. His extensive knowledge of movement and choreography has also led him to collaborate with various food and drink brands, further showcasing his versatile talent.
