Nigel Simpkiss - Cars

Nigel started his career in Music Videos, with an editing background. It was the look and energy of his videos that led to him being recruited by BBC producers to revamp a long-running TV series. Since then Nigel has long been associated with that award winning show: Top Gear. Employing techniques he developed during his Music Video career he created the high-octane look and style that is now synonymous with the programme. Top Gear now attracted over 300 million viewers in 80 countries worldwide winning numerous prestigious awards including an EMMY and a BANFF.

Nigel directed some of Top Gear’s most memorable films. In total he has directed over 200 items and 4 feature-length specials: The “Polar Special”, The “Africa Special”, the “South America Special” and the 2019, 90-minute Nepal Christmas Special.

There isn't an extreme or remote part of the world where Nigel hasn’t shot a car. This unrivalled experience has led to Nigel directing Commercials for some of the world’s leading car brands including Audi, Bentley, BMW, Cadillac, Jaguar, Lexus, Land Rover, Honda, Aston Martin, Toyota, Renault, Fiat, Maserati, Jeep and many many more.
